Description

Greece: crossroads of two worlds, the piano of east meets the piano of west.

The musical performance has as its central element the Greek music from the 1920s until 1960s. Known and "unknown" music pieces of a different time will be heard through the sweet melodies of a piano and a dulcimer, accompanied by a voice, which in turn will express joy, pain, mirth and emotion, as recorded in lyrics by Greek verse writers. This melodic tour to the Greek musical paths is accompanied also by brief narrative connecting texts, which unfold memories of an old man, and associate these musical paths with alleys of famous centers of Greek civilization that were guardians of the Greek traditional music and historical memory.
