Andreas Tomblin solo art exhibition - Opening 6th of March 2013 at Argo Gallery, 19.30.

‘Spontaneous And Raw’ is the latest series of work by Andreas Tomblin which come together to form his 2nd solo exhibition. This collection of paintings explores the innovative Jazz masterpiece “Bitches Brew” by Miles Davis which was first released in 1970. It sets out to translate the musical language and subconscious inner thoughts, emotions and energy communicated through the musical compositions on the album into images. The immediate dialogue between the music and the visual art become an improvisational performance as the sounds are observed and translated into visual compositions.

‘Spontaneous And Raw’ art exhibition opens from 6th of March 2013 at 7.30pm at Argo Gallery Nicosia until the 23rd of March 2013.

Andreas Tomblin received a 1st class BA Hons degree in Graphic Design (specialization, Illustration) from Leicester Polytechnic UK, and an MA with commendation from De Montfort University UK, in design and manufacture.

He has exhibited his work in galleries in the UK, Cyprus, China and Belarus. His paintings are held in state, public and private collections within China, Cyprus, the UK, Greece and Belgium. He has also lectured at various universities within the UK, and from 2003, Assistant Professor in the department of Design and Multimedia, at the University of Nicosia Cyprus.
