Description

Eight artists, eight different art forms, eight monologues.

Eight artists will each perform a monologue through their own art form, based on the renowned, award-winning play by Eve Ensler “Vagina Monologues”.

A different approach to the monologues will be presented, shifting beyond conventional theatrical performance. The monologues seen as a means of expression of the artists turned into exhibits.

The theme of "Vagina Monologues" focuses on the relationship between women and their vaginal cavity through a range of issues such as eroticism, sexual exploitation, rape, menopause, genital mutilation, and others.
The exhibition-performance will be curated by the director and theatre practitioner Maria Varnakkidou.

The opening will take place on Thursday, February 7th 2013 at 19:00 - 22:00 (15-minute theatrical performance at 20:00).

On the 8th, 9th and 10th of February: 11:00-13:00 and 16:00 to 19:00 (15-minute theatrical performance at 18:00)
