Description

A composer, a piano and the show begins. The new Satirikon Theatre welcomes on stage Olivios Karaolides and the music performance "Enarxis". In his musical journey he is joined by Andreanne Athanasiou, Constantine Andronikou, Irene Antoniou and Stelios Mappouras.

Instrumental music, Musical Theatre pieces and contemporary songs both in Greek and English come together under the unique direction of Melina Theocharidou.

Olivios Karaolides graduated from Université Paris – Sorbonne with postgraduate studies in Composition for Musical Theatre from New York University (NYU). Although he lives in Paris, he travels a lot for his work and has participated in many international festivals around the world including New York, London and Montreal. His love of Cyprus often leads him back home where he has worked with many exceptional Cypriot artists. This past March he had the opportunity to participate in the 20th Competition for Composition of Traditional Songs in Cyprus which he won with the song “To Spiti Mou” (My Home).
