Description

On Friday 12 October 2012 at 8pm an exhibition of the Persian Artist Amir Tahmasbi will open at Tehnis Dromena Gallery, 53 Arch. Kyprianou Street, Strovolos, Nicosia.

Amir was born in Karaj in 1972. He started his career in 1984 receiving AN MA in painting. Today he teaches in some universities in Iran. He is Dean of the board of Persian painting in Karaj Jahad-daneshgahe. He is member of illumination art academy group in Iran. He participated in many exhibitions, both in his country and abroad.

In this exhibition, organized in cooperation with the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran he will exhibit paintings with theme that have their roots in the Persian empire. Known as the “Persian miniatures” they have special characteristics, such as bright colours and intricate details using the brush.

Visiting this exhibition you can see the common elements between the Persian and the Greek culture and you will surely realise that art and culture is universal and doesn’t belong to any people in particular, but to the whole world.
