Description

This performance will be staged by the Moscow Classical Ballet, one of the world's most renowned ballet companies. The Moscow Classical Ballet has won more than 15 gold medals from international competitions and three prizes at the Paris Academy of dance. This brilliant troupe remains one of the few Russian ballet companies still supported by the Russian government. Regularly performing at the Kremlin Palace of Congresses in Moscow, it has also performed in more than 30 countries around the world and more than 200 cities in Russia. The new timeless production of “Spartagus” was especially staged to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Aram Khachaturian’s birth. The work follows the exploits of Spartacus, the leader of the slave uprising against the Romans.
