Description

An original educational programme for families, entitled “A dip into the sea of art, inside the heart of Nicosia, for young and older friends” takes place this summer at the brand new Loukia and Michael Zampelas Art Museum.

The museum aspires to become a recreational, as well as an educational destination, inside the city of Nicosia, offering to children and their parents the opportunity to creatively spend one of their summer weekends of 2012! In this way, parents can guide their children or children can lure their parents into a voyage of art and culture.

Children and parents, after they meet Zmart and Bella, the mascots of the Museum, experience a small adventure whilst observing the artworks of the acclaimed artist Panayiotis Tetsis. They use a wide range of supervisory materials and participate in original activities (stories, movement and music activities, dramatisations, theatre games, painting, games and more) under the guidance of a trained museum educator.

The educational programme for families is in Greek or English and is suitable for primary school students and their parents.
