Description

Crossroads Youth Theatre Camp is implemented for a third consecutive year at the Cultural Centre of Kaminaria village in the district of Limassol from Friday the13th until Sunday the 22nd of July 2012.

The camp is open for participants aged 15 -18 years old, who live in Cyprus.

Crossroads focuses on using theatre as a tool for creative expression and communication, multicultural awareness and coexistence between young people from various ethnic backgrounds. At the camp, participants takes part in drama skills and team building workshops as well as dialogue sessions, led by the facilitation team. They experiment with various art forms that contribute to the staging of theatrical performances in one-off workshops led by visiting artists and educators, watch a theatrical performance at the International Ancient Greek Drama Festival and meet the director and cast. Despite their theatrical workshops, participants even walk a nature trail and participate in an orienteering event.

The camp ends with a theatrical performance, created by the participants and it is open for their family and friends.

Crossroads III is organized by the non-governmental organisation TheatrEtc, and launched for the second time in collaboration with the non-governmental organisation Culture in Action.
