Description

Apocalypse gallery will host the solo exhibition of the sculptress Toula Mala. This is the first solo exhibition of the artist since 2001.

Toula Mala was born in Cyprus, where she still lives and works. Her work, paintings and sculpture, deal with the human body. She starts from what is close, which is herself, and proceeds, observing bodily her sex, its relationship with the ‘self’ and the opposite sex, and then with the world. The woman plays the leading role in her work, a woman through the eyes of another woman. Shape and colour are chosen in such a way that they serve and support the thematic content of the picture or sculpture.

The exhibition will open on Tuesday 21st of February at 19:30.
