Description
The Department of Law of the University of Cyprus organizes a Conference on the occasion of launching its undergraduate program in Law.
The theme of the Conference will be ‘Transnational Public Interest Litigation in Domestic Courts’. The conference will be held on Friday 31 October and Saturday 1 November 2008. The underlying idea is to discuss generic and specific issues of how domestic courts deal with cases of interest to the international community at large.
The Conference will be held in English and the proceedings will culminate in an edited volume to be published by an international publisher. The Conference will also host the working groups on International Rule of Law and on Hierarchy in International Law of the COST Action IS0602 ‘International Law in Domestic Courts’.
