Description

Trio Tekke, after a successful tour in Greece last November, returns to Cyprus for a new series of shows. Having already two great albums under their belt (Ta reggetika - 2009 and Samas - 2011), the band will present selections from these albums, as well as new unreleased songs.

The band has already been inducted in the world music scene, after winning the World Music Network competition for best song, and their participation in the CD "The Rough guide to Undiscovered World" and also the amazing reviews that the second album has received from the English magazine 'SONGLINES', which gave ‘Samas’ 4 stars, and the Greek ‘IHOS and IKONA’ which called it album of the month.

Trio Tekke consists of Antonis Antoniou (voice, tzouras), Lefteris Moumtzis (voice, guitar) and Colin Somervell (double bass).
