Description

Petros Michaelides and the administrative team of "Peter's Auctions" are proud to invite you to the exhibition of the upcoming auction “Greek & Cypriot Art” at the “Peter's Gallery” art center in Limassol.

The auction will be help on Tuesday November 22, 2011 at 8:00 p.m. at the same space. A reception will be held at 7:00 p.m.

The auction includes works by important Greek and Cypriot artists, with prices ranging from 200 to 30,000 euros.

Among them are, the "Ancient greek pillar" by Parthenis Constantinos (1878-1967), the "Ship in a Storm" by Altamuras Ioannis (1852-1878), a large piece by Andreas Charalambides (b.1939) entitled "Four figures ", two exceptional watercolors by Bouzianis Giorgos (1885-1959), the "Face to Face” by Kaniaris Vlassis (1928-2011), the "Portrait of Sophia Laskaridou" by Vikatos Spyros (1878-1960), an impressive bronze sculpture titled "Composition" by Zongolopoulos Giorgos (1903-2004) and the "The Great Idea" a work by Alektoridis Nicholaos (1874-1909) from the last period of his artistic creation.

Along with these will be auctioned 91 more paintings and sculptures of Greek and Cypriot artists and many non-listed surprise lots.

Also, works will be auctioned by artists like:
Pantaleon Theodoros, Giallinas Angelos, Gounaropoulos Giorgos, Dionysopoulos Pavlos, Karas Christos, Malamos Kostas, Patraskidis Triantafillopoulos, Akrithakis Alexis, Votsis Stelios, Gaitis Yiannis, Stathopoulos Giorgos, Mytaras Dimitris, Sperantzas Vasilis, Karayan Andreas, Skoteinos Giorgos and many others.
