Description

Francisco Camargo, a humble labourer from Goiás, dreams of turning two of his sons into famous country musicians. He gives his sons Mirosmar and Emival an accordion and guitar and the two boys start performing at local parties until poverty forces the family to move to another town. Playing at the local coach station and bars to make money the duo find success until tragedy strikes.
2 Filhos de Francisco is a Brazilian film drama about the lives of the musicians Zezé Di Camargo & Luciano. The film was one of Brazil's most successful in the last twenty years and the biggest box office draw of 2005. It could connect with international audiences who appreciate not only the music (some of it by Caetano Veloso) but the focus on a family's resilience.
