Description

The Cyprus Symphony Orchestra is giving a series of concerts as part of the Community Outreach Porgramme, “European Dances and Greek Songs”. The concerts take place in September - October 2008, all over Cyprus in different cities and villages such as Polis Chrysochous, Idalion, Lefkara, Limassol, Paralimni and Galata. The programme includes works by Beethoven and Mendelssohn, and a mixture of dance works; Gypsy Airs by Sarasate, Bartok Romanian Folk Dances, and Greek songs by Hadjidakis and Theodorakis. The outreach programme aims to reach a wider audience, both locals and tourists across the island.
