Description

A spectacular full-length ballet, “One Thousand and One Nights” by outstanding Azerbaijani composer Fikret Amirov, will be staged by the Kremlin Ballet.

The Kremlin Ballet, one of Russia’s top ballet theaters, was born in 1990 on the initiative of its founder and present artistic director, National Artist of Russia Andrey Petrov. The soloists of the ballet are laureates and diplomats of international ballet competitions. Performances of the Kremlin Ballet have been highly acclaimed by Russia and foreign critics and international tours have been successfully staged in numerous countries all around the world including China, France, Spain, Taiwan, Greece, Hungary, England and others.
“One Thousand and One Nights” relates to the tale of Scheherazade, a mysterious young woman who wins her life and the heart of a Persian sultan with her irresistible stories.

Choreographed by internationally renowned Andrey Petrov, the colorful ballet features extraordinary set design by Tahir Salakhov and beautiful costumes by Olga Polanskaya.
