Description

The Cyprus Symphony Orchestra is presenting the last series of concerts for the season 2010- 2011 with title FILM MUSIC, under the Artistic Direction of Greek conductor Anastasios Strikos. The programme includes famous film music. Highlights include soundtracks from beloved films such as Sweet Suite by Manos Hadjidakis, The Leopard by Nino Rota, Acrobats of the Garden by Nicos Kypourgos, Titanic by James Horner, Pirates of the Caribbean by Klaus Badelt. The programme closes with celebrated music by John Williams from renowned films such Schindle’s List, Star Wars and Indiana Jones. The concert will be accompanied with videos at the background.

Three evening concerts will be given as follows: Wednesday 6 July 2011 at Strovolos Municipal Theatre, Nicosia at 20:30, Thursday 7 July 2011 at Patticheion Municipal Amphitheatre at 21:00 (within the framework of the Larnaka Festival 2011) and on Friday 8 July 2011 at Ancient Odeion, Paphos at 20:30.
