Description

If you use a compact digital camera, probably your photographs will be saved as JPEG files. A DSLR camera can create these files, but furthermore, offers the owner the choice to create RAW files. Therefore, what is a RAW file and why should one use it instead of the JPEG files that one is already familiar with?
