Description

Paphos Municipality organizes the annual "Paphos Carnival" with a range of quality events, aimed to entertain and provide fun and joy to residents of all ages, but also to visitors who will choose to spend their holidays in Paphos

This year the events for the Paphos Carnival will start on the 24th of February and will end on Monday, March 7, 2011.

The most important events are:

Thursday February 24th (Shrove Thursday) - 17:00
Entry of the King of Carnival, King Dionysus, accompanied by the Band of the Paphos Municipality and majorettes. The parade will start at the 28th October Square and will end at the Pervola Municipal Car Park, where a party with the singer Evi Kapatai will take place.

Saturday March 5th - 15:00
The Grand Carnival parade with 10s of Carnival floats and 100s of participants, serenaders, the band of the Paphos Municipality and majorettes. The parade will take place on G. Dhigenis Avenue.

Monday March 7th
Green Monday event on the Pharos beach which will include music, dances, kite competition and archery demonstration.
