Description

The Ministry of Education and Culture in collaboration with the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra Foundation organize a Concert of the Strings Workshop, in memory of Pefkios Georgiades. The concert is organized under the High Patronage of H.E. the President of the Republic Mr Demetris Christofias and under the Artistic direction of violinist Matheos Kariolou. The programme includes works by Paganini, Bartok, Sarasate, Bach, Brahms, Krisler, Strauss, Piazzolla and others.

The concert will take place on Monday 24 January 2011 at 20:30, at Strovolos Municipal Theatre in Nicosia. Tickets are available at the Theatre’s box office (tel. 22 313010) at €10, €5 for students.

All proceeds will go to the Patient Welfare Committee of the Arch. Makarios III Hospital.
