Description

The first ever Viennese Ball in Cyprus will take place in Nicosia on 13th of January with the support of the Russian Embassy.

The idea of a Viennese ball in Cyprus belongs to the choreographer Tatiana Zinevich who is also the organizer of the event. She says: “A ball is an event of a special kind. I wouldn’t call it “entertainment”. A ball is culture! It’s the melodies of waltz and mazurka, it’s a sea of flowers and champagne, it’s a rustling of evening gowns, sparkling of diamonds and strictness of tailcoats…”

The event calls for a strict dress-code: floor-length ball-gowns for women, tailcoats or tuxedos for men.

Special dance classes are open for those who want to learn waltzing.
