Description
The Embassy of Austria in cooperation with the Artos Foundation cordially invites you to a Cyprus-premiere-screening of "Mount St. Elias" by Austrian director Gerald Salmina, a feature-documentary about three of the worlds greatest ski mountaineers. Alex Naglich, Peter Ressmann (both from Austria) and Jon Johnston (USA) will take you on a trip to Mount St. Elias, a 5.489m Alaska peak which offers the longest and steepest ski descent of the world (35km all in all)! A descent that has often been attempted, never successfully so. Now it is the turn of Naglich, Ressmann and Johnston.
"It captures something I have never seen before in a documentary, it is incredible, it is insane, it is the first film I have ever seen where I needed a drink after", this is how one reviewer described his feelings after seeing the film Mount St. Elias.
International festivals all over the world have apparently agreed with this reviewer:
Winner - Golden Dragon - Best Documentary - Festival Thunersee (SUI) 2009
