Description

A music event tribute to Kyriakos Matsis, the hero of the liberation struggle of EOKA 1955-59, 52 years after his death. The event is co-organized by the Foundation "Kyriakos Matsis", the Council of Historical Memory of EOKA, the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra Foundation and the Municipality of Strovolos.

The event, which will be attended by the President of Cyprus Demetris Christofias, will include greetings from the Minister of Education and Culture, Dr Andreas Demetriou, and Yiannakis Matsis, the brother of the hero. A short film of Andis Roditis about Kyriakos Matsis will also be screened.
