The art group UnDo was formed in 2010 by the instructors of the Graphic Arts program of the Department of Arts, European University Cyprus. The artists involved in this project mention that, Systematically Arranged is an art intervention that aims at challenging traditional notions of space and of locality and at re-inventing the library, which is traditionally considered as an old, quite and dusty place. The event is about bridging the gap between a particular place, its people and their everydayness. The Cyprus Library will open its doors for one day on a Sunday afternoon to become an alternative setting without loosing the essence of its character; it is and will always be a place of knowledge.

The art intervention will begin at 6:00pm when the Cyprus Library will open its doors for the public. People will have the opportunity to read a book and experience the interior space in an alternative way while a performance piece will be taking place during this time. The video and sound projection on the exterior of the building, which will start at 8:30pm, will completely alter the viewers’ experience and understanding of the library.

*A video presentation of the intervention will be presented at the ARTos Foundation on 4/11/2010 within the framework of the 2nd X-Dream Festival.
