Description

The organisation of the first Marathon of the city of Nicosia has emerged, not only as a mere sporting event, rather by the need of our fellow citizens to demonstrate their social cohesion and their love towards Cyprus and its capital.

All proceeds go to the following non-profit organisations: Anti-Cancer Society of Cyprus, Make a Wish, Thelethon.

Programme for the Races

Marathon Race (42.195m)
Start Time: 08:30
Start & Finish Area: Famagusta Gate, in front of the main entrance.
Athletes willing to take part in the marathon and half marathon events must be over 18 years of age on the day of the competition.

Half Marathon Race (21.100m)
Start Time: 08:30
Start & Finish Area: Famagusta Gate, in front of the main entrance.

4.6 km Road Race
Start Time: 10:30
Start & Finish Area: Famagusta Gate, in front of the main entrance.

1000m Charity Run
Start Time: 11:00
Start Area: Along Salaminos Street, at the height of Kolokasis opening.
Finish Area: Famagusta Gate, in front of the main entrance.
