ACT (Anglo Cypriot Theatre) is delighted to present The Vagina Monologues in English for the first time in Cyprus, directed by Athena Xenidou and Thadd Correia.

The Vagina Monologues by Eve Ensler are a series of 16 monologues based on activist Ensler’s interviews with over 200 women. Each monologue relates somehow to some aspect of the vagina, with recurring themes throughout the piece being the vagina as a tool of female empowerment, and the ultimate embodiment of individuality.

Proceeds from the production will be donated to three non-profit organizations working to protect and promote the safety, health and rights of women and girls in Cyprus:

* The Association for the Prevention and Handling of Violence in the Family
* The Cyprus Family Planning Association
* KISA

Patrons are advised that the performances are intended for mature audiences.
