Description

Amorgos gallery celebrates International Women's Day with the art exhibition 'All About Women'. Paintings will be exhibited from artists Christos Foukaras, Nitsa Xadjigeorgiou, Costas Kafkarides, Mariam Suxanova – Foukara, Nicoletta Papamichael, Stefanos Nearchou, Katya Getsova, Vaso Thoupou, Stavros Kikas, Myrto Markidou.

International Women's Day is a reminder to us that in the past, women where not allowed to vote, or work and that they did not travel or study freely.

Much progress has been made to protect and promote women’s rights in recent times. However, many women in the world lack these fundamental rights to this day.

The exhibition celebrates women as symbol of peace, motherhood, sexuality and dynamism. Women that are against violence and who achieve the great compromises that all mankind needs. With art it honours al the talented women in politics, science, literature and the arts everywhere in the world and in Cyprus.
