Description

A painting exhibition featuring three special artists with blood ties.

Christos Christou was born in Pafos in 1950. After his studies in Paris (Ιcole Nationale Supιrieure des Beaux-arts), where he specialised in painting, frescoes and lithography, he settled there. His main work, which revolves around man and beings of the animal kingdom (horses, birds, bulls etc), is characterised by a dream-like surrealism that recalls early renaissance frescoes with sculptural forms.

Achilles Christou, son of Christos Christou, was born in Paris and studied art and photography. Additionally he followed courses for the art of building with steel and metal. So far he made three solo exhibitions in Nicosia and Paphos and participated in many group exhibitions. His art is characterized by freshness and harmony, coordination of movement and shapes within an explosion of bright colors.

Yiannis Hayiannis was born in London in 1972 and studied fine art and art history at Camberwell College of Arts. He has been working with acrylics on a variety of surfaces for twenty years and has exhibited in group and solo exhibitions in Cyprus, Greece and the UK. He works as a specialist teacher of art and design in a primary and secondary school in London and is presently conducting doctoral research in the field of art and design in education.
