Description

MITRA Dance Theatre presents "Thousand Births".

The piece explores the “birth-death” bipolar concept, through the medium of contemporary dance and live soprano singing.

Every birth, is the beginning of a new death and vice versa. The word birth itself encapsulates the word death. In each case, one abandons a form of existence for another.

The choreographer Marina Poyiadji and her creative team explore concepts of joy, grief and all feelings of primordial excitements connected with birth and death.
