Miriam McConnon - Papageorgiou returns to Nicosia to present her new work entitled “Washed out wishes”

The places of worship are the main source of inspiration for the painter, an inspiration which has emerged from the ancient catacombs of Paphos, where the artist lives and works. Regardless of the initial stimulus, however, the work of Miriam as a whole is characterized by great calm and sweetness.

Miriam McConnon (b. Dublin 1977) is an Irish painter living and working in Cyprus. She is a Fine Art Graduate of the National College of Art and Design.

The new painting exhibition by Miriam will be inaugurated by the Mayor of Nicosia Mrs Eleni Mavrou on Wednesday, May 19 at 20:00 and will run until June 5.
