Description

A special performance that combines Word and Music in a unique way. A Journey into the Life and Art of the Greatest Soprano of the 20th century Maria Kalogeropoulou Callas. The internationally renowned artists, the Cypriot soprano Chryso Makariou, who is based in Vienna, the Bulgarian Baritone Krum Galabov and the well known Actor Achilleas Grammatikopoulos join forces on stage with the Pianist Zbynek Maruska.

Extracts from the Operas Norma, Tosca, La Traviata, Andrea Chenier will be presented. Under the scholarly supervision of the Historian Musicologist Dr. Spyridoula Katsarou.

The performance is under the High Protection of the First Lady Mrs Andri Anastasiades, spouse of the President of the Republic of Cyprus.

The ‘Maria Kalogeropoulou Callas’ project is being organized by the Pancyprian Association “One Wish One Dream”, supporting children suffering from cancer and related diseases. All profits will go to the P. A. “One Wish One Dream”.
