Description

A musical tribute to the great poet and lyricist Nikos Gatsos. The father of modern song writing, whose poems were set to music by some of the greatest Greek composers including Manos Hadjidakis, Stavros Xarhakos, Mikis Theodorakis and Dimos Moutsis among others.
These collaborations produced songs that marked Greek discography of the 20th century, a selection of which will be performed at the concert, along with some of Gatsos’s most recognisable poems from his exquisite collection “Amorgos”.
