Description

The sounds of Crete blend each other with the voices of Cyprus having as common ground the Modal Music of the Eastern Mediterranean. Giannis Koutis (Oud, Voice, Duduk) and Yiannis Papatzanis (Percussions, Voice) come together on stage for the first time performing both known traditional tunes of the Eastern Mediterranean and original compositions as well filtered through a modern perception for traditional music. It is about a musical result which proves and highlights the many common elements which connect the cultures of the Eastern Mediterranean.
