With a wide array of documentary films, the Lemesos International Documentary Festival is getting ready for its twelfth festival edition.

The Festival will take place from the 1st to the 8th of August showcasing documentaries from across the globe. All films shown are Cyprus premieres. This year's multidimensional screenings programme proves that documentary production worldwide has expanded so much in genre, creativity and narrative as reality itself is becoming the inspiration for the urgent subjects emerging in each film.

Transparency or suppression of information? Peace or conflict? Human or machine? With a programme of more than 20 documentary feature films, the Festival proposes a new approach to subjects and values that influence the quality of life of the contemporary human being, both in a local and a global context. It is the goal of the Lemesos International Documentary Festival not only to inform on urgent matters in alternative ways, but most importantly to encourage a creative dialogue about these important social issues that construct our everyday lives.

The Festival programme includes film screenings, live music, DJ sets, Docs Talk workshops for professionals and Q & A sessions with the hosted filmmakers.
