Description

‘Sinafi’ was created by three Greek women musicians who met in Istanbul. This music journey started two years ago, when we decided to start performing a collage of our common musical stories. Stories of exile, separation, love, joy as narrated in Kappadokia, Minor Asia, Thrace, Aegean sea but also in the café aman and the meyhane of Istanbul, are brought in the contemporary urban landscape forming our own musical present. We invite you to share it.

This concert is dedicated to the Women of Anatolia (as is their upcoming album coming out in September): stories of mothers, lovers, wives, widows told through songs from Greece and the wider area of Anatolia (Armenia, Azerbaycan, Turkey ..)
