The Friends of Chambis Printmaking Museum and theatre group of Konteans and friends “Terpsis” (Τέρψις) coorganize the theatre play “The Shoemaker’s Prodigious Wife” of Federico Garcia Lorca, directed/adapted by Maria Georgiou Krasia.

Monday, 29 May 2017, 20:30 at Melina Mercury Hall in Nicosia.

“The Shoemaker’s Prodigious Wife” (La zapatera prodigiosa) is a popular comedy that closely resembles Commedia dell’ arte and puppetry. The unruly young wife of the shoemaker forces her much older husband to leave home at the beginning of their married life, to discover how difficult it is for a poor young woman to survive on her own and long for the short time she has lived with her humble husband.

All proceeds shall be made available for the creation of a Chambis Printmaking Municipal Museum in Nicosia.
