Description

6x6 Centre for Photography announces its upcoming outdoor photography workshop in the Cypriot countryside, instructed by Cypriot landscape - conservation photographer Silvio Rusmigo.

The photographic expedition will take place in Lemythou village (Limassol District) and the surrounding area of Paphos and Troodos Forests, on the weekend of the 25th and 26th March 2017. The workshop is designed to guide photography enthusiasts to some of the most photogenic locations on the island, carefully planned for best light, and to aid them in visualizing a scene before capturing the decisive moment. This comprehensive workshop will enhance the participant's photography skills and open new doors to their creativity.

As Spring will be rejuvenating nature, the group will be taking to Lemythou village, and will focus on the blossomed Marathasa valley and the rich ecosystem of the Paphos and Troodos Forest. The impressive geologies of the Troodos Mountain as the backdrop, and the Venetian Bridges arching over rivers will get everyone behind their lenses in no time. Participants will lodge at a traditional stone house in Lemythou village.

The itinerary includes photography tuition at off-the-highway locations, accommodation, transportation and all meals. The workshops are intended for small groups of 8 photography enthusiasts, at any level of knowledge.

The tutor will be delivering effective photography-instruction, hands-on assistance and subject-knowledge transfer, while wrapping up with group discussions and projections of the work produced. Critique of the work in group sessions will help improve participants' photographic skills.
