Description

Artist Michael Papamichael has used scrap materials or recyclables in his art for many years. His work reBench constitutes an intervention of ecological art in which beverage cans will be up-cycled for the creation and installation of six benches set in public places. The project strengthens and promotes everyday reuse, re- or up-cycling of objects and raises awareness on ecological conservation and the sustainability of resources in order to reduce waste. Apart from its artistic value, the work will have an educational gain, involving schools and students in the final installation phase of the project.
