Description

Alpha C.K. Art Gallery presents the first solo exhibition in Cyprus of the young Cypriot artist Ignatios Mitrofanous. The exhibition under the general title “Supernova” opens on Thursday 22 Septemebr at 7:30 pm. The exhibition is curated by Efi Kyprianidou.

In this exhibition, the artist explores and creates with methodical precision and purpose his vision of the impulsive and spontaneous nature of the universe. Through his pitnigns and sculptures, the artist presents the visual diversity of the natural phenomenons and his own personal interpretation of these.

The exhibition’s curator Dr. Efi Kyprianidou notes, “Mitrofanous seeks the hidden order of the natural world from a formless mass, without internal structure, out of chaos. His work raditates vital energy, placing the viewer in the center of a world that keeps well hidden the secret of creation, while remaining inherently unpredictable and chaotic.”

The exhibition runs through October 4.
