Paravan presents their new theater performance "Happy Mess"

20th of July 1969. A historical landmark for humanity. For the first time in history, man has set foot on the moon and brings back to earth rocks from the moon's "Sea of Tranquility".

20th of July 2016, in a parallel sea, in Cyprus, Alexis returns after 25 years of being abroad. He is seeking answers for the significance of his own rock.

By travelling in the past, reality gets mixed up with memory. The two stories unfold simultaneously as we observe the international historical events between 1969- 1974 parallel with Alexi's personal story.

The show was created through the process of theatre devising, giving particular attention to historical research, which was done through interviews of people with personal experiences and academics, research in archives, libraries and video- documents. The actors have worked closely with the creative team in building a performance with intense theatricality, movement, music and visual language.
