ABR (Alternative Brains Rule) non-profit organisation and the Bank of Cyprus cordially invite you to the opening of the ‘Cūprum’ exhibition curated by the Italian Clarissa Tempestini showcasing the outcomes of an innovative one month artistic residency, ABR IN LAB, a collaboration between ABR and the Bank of Cyprus. The residency is centred on multidisciplinary collaboration, taking on a unique approach to art within a local context while focusing on Cyprus’ natural resources and phenomena.

International artists showcasing their works in the ‘Cūprum’ exhibition include Sofia Stevi, Marlene Stark and Talisa Lallai, who have each spent four weeks working alongside architects Constantinos Louca and Constantinos Kyprianou, as well as scientists Achilleas Kentonis and George Constantinou, exchanging inspirations and knowledge.

Residency artists were given the chance to develop their own special personal relationship with the island and various aspects of it, and the notion of connection is both integral and almost tangible within the exhibition space.
