Description

The Nicosia Book Fest is organised in Cyprus for the first time and aims to become an institution that will promote the book in the Cypriot society, and bring readers closer to authors and promote the Cypriot authors at a time when the book faces a declining course.

The first festival will be take place on the 12th June 2016 at the Akropolis Park, co-organised by the Press Information Office and the Municipality of Strovolos, with the participation and support of over 30 organisations.

Visitors will have a chance to participate in book presentations, lectures about the book, to meet authors and buy books in lower prices.

A used book sale will take place as well as a book exchange spot.

Children will have the opportunity to participate in book recitals by authors and theatre groups as well as engage in many fun activities.

Food and drink spots and a coffee shop will also be available in the festival space.
