Description

In Ktima is a Community Countdown project, which is part of the Community Involvement programme and the theme Connecting People and Places. The aim of the project is to collect stories, photographs and other material that will compose a live interactive virtual library of Ktima.

The project In Ktima, travels to Beanhaus café, next to Kennedy square, and invites the citizens of Pafos to watch “The Othellos, study for a Documentary” by Charalambos Margaritis, a film that investigates the abandoned Othellos cinema as a synecdoche of the town of Paphos, by collecting images and stories, fragments of a ruin.

After the projection, a discussion with Charalambos Margaritis, as well as the people who participate and appear in the documentary, Andreas Stylianou, projectionist of the cinema Attikon (as Othellos used to be called) and Antonis Charalambous, projectionist of the Zina cinema (now the Markideion Theatre), will take place.
