Myths are the food for the soul and a source for creativity. The symbols are doors ready to open to show the treasures of the self.

“Open Sesame!” is a series of autonomous dramatherapy workshops for teenagers. In each workshop we will work with a different myth. Symbolism offers teenagers the right distance and emotional safety to improvise, create characters, explore body movement and connect with their imagination. Myths are the compass that guides us towards emotional expression, discovery of internal gifts and empowerment in life.

First workshop
Ali Baba and the 40 thieves

They say that a treasure shines in the heart of the cavern. Following Ali Baba’s story we are going to explore our own inner cave's secret words. What kind of treasure is being kept in secret? Who are the thieves who claim their share? Is it worth risking to enter the cave?
In this workshop we will use play, enactment, body movement, imagination and words.

Previous theatre experience or knowledge is not require.
