8-session workshop on Mask Improvisation techniques (Neutral, Beginning and Complex Character masks)

Every Friday from 5.30 to 8.00pm
Between 23rd of Oct. and 11th of Dec. 2015

For professional and amateur actors, performers, dancers and those interested in new forms of movement and expression.

Workshop leader: Diomedes Koufteros

Mask Improvisation Training:
-sensitizes and frees the imagination;
-stimulates the appetite for size, extravagant physical presence, communication and emotional engagement;
-helps develop awareness and skills necessary for stage performance;
-expands comfort zone;
-exposes dynamic possibilities of choice and intention as well as breath, time, space, weight, movement, gesture,
-offers valuable techniques for character development and dramatic construction;
-encourages team work, concentration, clarity, ease and joy.


Workshop Language: Greek and/or English.

Certificate of attendance will be given upon completion of workshops.

Participation Fee: 240 euros for 8 sessions and 160 euros for 4 consecutive sessions.

Diomedes Koufteros is an actor (MFA Acting - Brandeis University, Boston, USA) and has coached Mask, Physical theatre and Voice for numerous theatre productions including ‘The Overcoat’, ‘Zoo’, ‘Ubu Roi’ and ‘The Bacchae’.

He has lectured Acting, Mask, Physical Theatre and Movement for the Stage in universities and drama schools such as Brandeis University (Boston, USA), Macalester College (Minnesota, USA), Boston University, Satirikon Acting School (Nicosia) and the University of Nicosia’s Department of Music and Dance as a part-time lecturer.
