Description

Painting exhibition entitled ‘Dereliction’ by Ioannis Macheriotis.

In his fourth solo exhibition, the artist uses the subject “Dereliction” which is both metaphorical and very timely.

First it reflects that strange feeling that one feels in the gut when faced with or entering such spaces and secondly and most important, the corruption and decay that emerged in our society during the last few years.

There is no attempt here to spread pessimism or rage by the artist but to contribute towards the awakening of mass consciousness and the prevention of further decay in our society by putting these beautiful images on canvas.
