Description

Periklis Papapetropoulos, a lavta, saz and bulgari virtuoso from Greece, together with Christodoros Mnasonos (ud, yayli tanbur), Pavlos Michaelides (violin) and Elena Xyda (voice), present a concert of music from our nearby traditions. Approaching various related musical idioms, they will interpret compositions from Constantinople’s art music repertoire, songs and instrumental tunes from Asia Minor, the islands of the Aegean Sea, Crete and Cyprus, as well as original compositions by P. Papapetropoulos.
