Description

The University of Nicosia in the context of the Erasmus Plus program presents a lecture- piano recital of the "44 Children’s Songs" by Yiannis Constantinidis. In the lecture Dr. Fytika will discuss the interpretation of these pieces as well as their pedagogical approach. Particular emphasis will be given to the composer’s pianistic writing reminiscent of the Greek traditional music. (Wednesday, 6th of May 12.00-13.00) Cine Studio, University of Nicosia. Biography
Athina Fytika is Lecturer of Piano Pedagogy at the Ionian University. She studied in Greece and the USA having received a doctorate in piano from Florida State University. Her academic interest in recent years is focused on specific issues of piano pedagogy and she often performs works by Greek composers.
