Description

Vassilis Karakatsanis presents his new work at Morfi Gallery in Limassol, under the title 'Urban Details'.

The exhibition features works from the ‘Urban Details’ series – an ongoing body of work, spanning between 2011 and the present, acting as a visual narrative of the artist’s aesthetic pursuits over the past years.

Carrying Pop Art undertones and alluding to the aesthetics of the advertising world, ‘Urban Details’ captures all the fetishes and paraphernalia that mirror the contemporary individual’s quest for social status. The social mapping however contains a number of self-references, marking the artist’s deep involvement in this urban charade.

The exhibition opens on Wednesday, 25th of February at 19:30.
