Description
The music of Yasmin Levy focuses on the Ladino, the traditional music of the Spanish Jews. The Sephardi influences from her father Yitzak Levy (Arabic, Turkish) have determined her music career. After a period of dealing with the flamenco, she made a mature turn to the routes of the Ladino, and has since collaborated with great musicians from Iran, Armenia, Greece, Israel, Turkey and Spain.
Her deep, spiritual voice and emotive style of singing together with the harmony and combinations of sounds confirm her status on the international music scene.
