Description

The theater of Russian ballet "Moscowia" presents the performance "The White Rose of the Harem" with music by Schumann, Bizet and Schnittke with percussion and drums.

Plot:
A young man, Zair, saves a beautiful captive named Angelica from the slavers. To facilitate their escape the girl changes into a slaver’s outfit. Together they arrive to the house of rich Ali-bey, Zair’s father. At the celebrations thrown for Zair’s return Ali-bey invites his son and his friend to compete in agility and strength. Angelica, who is still wearing men’s clothes, falls down and her secret is revealed. Ali-bey, who is furious at first, forgives his son and is charmed by Angelica. He wants her to belong to him only. But Zair is in love and comes with a plan…
